Tekken - Summer - Week 3


Hello fighters! Welcome to the Summer season of NUEL Tekken where we give you the opportunity to battle it out against fellow students from across the country in epic 1 day biweekly tournaments. Battle your way to the top and claim the title of being one of the best university Tekken 7 players in the UK!

We encourage students of all skill levels across the UK to get involved. Multiple teams from the same university are welcome.

How to register

Once you’ve registered an account on the NUEL and verified your student status, you can either create your own team, or join an existing one from your university

Team registration does not close once the tournament starts, and you're free to join throughout the season. Teams can add new players and edit their roster throughout the tournament.

Grand Finals will be Best of Five (5) with option of brakcet reset from losers bracket

Tekken Ruleset


All players must join The NUEL's Discord server as the tournament will be coordinated there throughout the tournament.


Game Settings

  • Game version: PC (Online PC)
  • Round Settings: First to Three
  • Timer: 60 seconds
  • Character Customisations: Off

Match Procedure

The following steps outline the process of playing a match:

  1. Players select their characters
  2. The Players play the first Game of the Match
  3. The losing Player of the preceding Game may choose to change characters
  4. Players go to Stage Select and select Random
  5. The next game is played
  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for all subsequent Games until the Match is complete

Stage Selection

For all Games in the Match, players will utilize Random Stage Selection. This includes rematches

Tie Games

In the event of a tie Game, declared by a Double K.O. screen in the final Round of the Game, the Game will not be scored and both players will replay the tied Game with the same characters and on the same stage

Permitted Controllers

All standard arcade sticks and controllers are permitted. Macro functions (e.g. turbo buttons) and wireless controllers other than DualShock 4 are not permitted

Match Obligations


All Players must be physically present by the Match start time. Players that are not ready to play within ten (10) minutes of the Match start time are subject to penalties including a possible Match forfeiture

The tournament consists of three (3) biweekley double elimination tournaments that are not linked (except in regards to seeding) and each tournament will be prized separately.

Each series will be first to two (2), with the winner progressing in the tournament and the loser either being eliminated or moved into the losers bracket.

The grand final will be a first to three (3) series with a bracket reset if the player from the winners bracket loses the first series.

Tournament nights are every other week on a Wednesday with check ins required to ensure that you’re provided matches for that days tournament.
